Legend of The Shadowman

I was hugely impressed (and freaked out) by the horror indie game Slender a while ago, and decided I wanted to see if I could achieve something similar in a 2D game.

While there’s no gore at all, some of the sounds might scare smaller kids, so don’t let them play. For other adults, turn off the lights and put on some headphones! I’m interested to know if this game is even slightly creepy for you :)

Just note that this is still work-in-progress so there are still many placeholders here and there. [Left Click] – Walk
[Right Click] – Sprint

For best results, use Chrome, or if you don’t have that, use any webGL enabled browser. It really needs the shader effects to be played properly.

Thanks to Ashley/Tom for the rain demo, which I repurposed for this game.
